Why Goodlicious Goodness

I am sure you are wondering how we came up with the name, and of course...there is a story behind it! Goodlicious is my sister's word. When we were little girls, my sister would describe the food she loved by saying "That's So Goodlicious." It became the word we would use when 'delicious' just isn't enough. And that is what this space is, it's full of flavor, full of stories, full of warmth and connection, It's Good! It's Delicious! It's Goodlicious Goodness!!

I have shared this picture of Strawberry Cake recipe with you because this was my dad's favorite cake. For my daughter's 16th birthday I gave out recipe cards and had all our friends and family write out their favorite recipes to then give them as a gift to her. I am so glad I did this. My dad ended up passing away soon after this and this recipe was handwritten by him. What a cherished gift.

Because food is more than just what we eat, it's a story. It's the smell of fresh baked bread from your childhood, the rich chocolatey fudge that your Auntie brought to every holiday, the soup that warmed the heart when you were hurting. Goodlicious Goodness is sharing the experience of food that connects the heart (and the tummy!)
