The journey to this moment has been anything but easy,
but God has been faithful every step of the way!
Our church home...before and after!
Our church has been through a lot to get where we are today. What started out as a drainage issue, led to mold and eventually, serious structural damage. As we stepped out in faith to rebuild, we faced unexpected setbacks. A contractor's personal tragedy paused progress, and a construction accident left two workers injured. But even in the uncertainty, the Lord provided. We were aligned with a new contractor who was not only skilled, but honest, dedicated, and tireless. He and his crew worked many late nights, often after dark, to help us move toward the finish line.
For months, we've been gathering for services in a borrowed space each Sunday and Wednesday, and we have been so thankful to have such a space available to us. But there is nothing quite like your "home church". And now, with just a few weeks to go, we are filled with gratitude and anticipation as begin to prepare our new building, starting with the Resource Room.
The Planning Process: Thoughtful and Purposeful
As we prepare to move into the new building, one of our biggest goals has been to set up the Resource Room in a way that truly serves every teacher, every student that walks through our doors.
To do that well, a small group of ladies from our church came together to evaluate each area of need. We didn't just guess or grab a few basics, we went through each space and made a comprehensive list of supplies, classroom materials, Bible learning tools, art essentials and more! Every single item on the list was chosen with intention and purpose. You might even see a few things on the list that look a little unexpected, like sensory items, Mr. Potato Head or Tabletop Prize Drop! But trust us, they all serve a specific role in bringing the Bible to life in our classrooms or helping teachers stay organized and prepared. We are not just stocking the shelves, we are creating a space that supports our teachers, and helps our children experience the Word of God in meaningful, memorable ways.
Resource Room in Progress!
Exciting Things To Come
As we stand on the edge of a new season, we are so excited, not just about freshly painted walls, or organized shelves, but what this space will make possible. Our church Resource Room Wish List and the new building is a reflection of what happens when a church family comes together with purpose, intention and love. We can't wait to open the doors and begin this new chapter, together!
